Legal and Credit Risk Administrator

About the role

As a Legal and Credit Risk Administrator you will ensure that surety arrangements withstand legal scrutiny and that all related documentation is accurately maintained. You will provide essential administrative support to keep the functional area operating smoothly within the bank.

Key responsibilities

• Verify that security holdings comply with the latest approved limits to prevent losses.
• Scrutinize existing security documents for legal compliance and confirm that all supporting paperwork is in place.
• Redraft incorrect collateral documents to minimise risk to the bank.
• Draft new proposed security documents in line with limit requirements.
• Prepare facility letters and loan agreements that form part of the legal contracts between the bank and borrowers.
• Take immediate action to note the bank’s interest on all cessions and process instructions to register or cancel bonds.

Required profile

• Diploma in Business Administration or a comparable business qualification.
• Three to five years of relevant experience in collateral or credit risk administration.
• Background in collateral management and familiarity with the Collate System (advantage).
