HSE Specialist Intern

About the role

The HSE Specialist Intern will support local management in building and continuously improving the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) culture at the worksite. This role involves assisting with the implementation of the HSE Management System, monitoring objectives, and helping to create local HSE procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Develop awareness and embed HSE policies and standards into daily work.
• Assist in implementing the HSE Management System and monitoring HSE objectives.
• Assess local risks and generate appropriate HSE procedures.
• Coordinate HSE training and review documentation and training material.
• Monitor compliance with HSE plans, policies, standards, and procedures.
• Track and follow up on HSE reports and audits, recommending improvements.
• Analyze HSE trends for the location and suggest program enhancements.

Required profile

• Recent graduate in a Health, Safety and Environment related field.
• Strong communication skills, both written and spoken English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to learn quickly and translate learning into practical solutions.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and initiative.
• Willingness to follow company policies, QHSE standards and procedures.
