About the role
The Good Governance and Anti-Corruption Specialist will be based in Windhoek, Namibia, supporting the EU‑UNDP Good Governance Programme. The role provides strategic and technical leadership to strengthen anti‑corruption frameworks, improve public financial management, and promote transparent, accountable governance.
Key responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership on anti‑corruption, public financial management, and economic governance.
- Advise national counterparts on anti‑corruption legislation, policies, and institutional strengthening.
- Support the design and implementation of national anti‑corruption strategies, accountability mechanisms, and public awareness campaigns.
- Engage government institutions, UN agencies, civil society, development partners, and the private sector to strengthen collaboration.
- Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation systems to track project progress and impact.
- Prepare high‑quality progress reports, donor reports, and technical documentation.
- Contribute to programme development, resource mobilization, and partnership building.
- Perform additional project‑related duties as required.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in Law, Criminal Justice, International Relations, Business Management, Public Administration, Political or Social Sciences, or related field (or Bachelor’s with two additional years of experience).
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience in anti‑corruption policy development, public financial management, technical advisory, capacity building, project management, stakeholder engagement, monitoring and evaluation, and governance reform.
- Fluent English (required).

- UN Volunteer status with a monthly living allowance of US$2,765 – US$3,215.
