Finance Manager – Short‑Term Insurance

About the role

Old Mutual is seeking a Finance Manager for its short‑term insurance business. The role involves professional accounting work, including compilation, consolidation and analysis of financial data, and leading the finance team to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and consolidate financial reports, including trial balances, financial statements and cost analyses.
• Manage the annual year‑end and interim reporting processes, ensuring compliance with group accounting standards.
• Drive business planning, forecasting and budgeting activities across the unit.
• Oversee tax planning, reporting and compliance for all tax types, and ensure regulatory reporting obligations are met.
• Maintain effective financial controls, conduct key account reconciliations and monitor cash management.
• Provide technical assistance to business units and liaise with key stakeholders, including board reporting submissions.

Required profile

• Namibian citizen with 5–8 years of finance management experience.
• Registered Chartered Accountant with an NQF Level 7 tertiary qualification.
• Senior‑level experience managing a finance team.
• Experience in the short‑term insurance industry is advantageous.
