Finance Manager (JG 7) – Windhoek

About the role

Santam Namibia is looking for an experienced Finance Manager to support the CFO and senior leadership team. The role combines financial reporting, technical accounting, regulatory compliance and treasury oversight, while acting as a trusted business partner.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and report on overall financial performance, prepare monthly management reports and annual financial statements.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, business planning and provide financial analysis to support strategic decisions.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, IFRS 17 and Namibian regulatory requirements, and coordinate external and internal audit activities.
• Oversee treasury functions, liquidity management and cash‑flow monitoring.
• Build strong relationships with regulators, auditors, actuaries, financial institutions and internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA(NAM)) or ACCA with at least 3 years post‑qualification experience in financial management.
• Proven experience in financial reporting, technical accounting and regulatory compliance, preferably in the short‑term insurance sector.
• Strong analytical ability, commercial acumen and capacity to work independently in a fast‑paced, highly regulated environment.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of IFRS and IFRS 17.
• Technical accounting and regulatory compliance expertise.

• Treasury and cash‑flow management.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Hyperion Financial Management or similar reporting tools.
