External Sales Representative – Building Materials

About the role

We are seeking a high‑performing External Sales Representative to drive bulk sales of building materials and hardware. The role focuses on acquiring new business, nurturing relationships with contractors, developers and trade customers, and achieving sales and profit targets across the Windhoek territory.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and prospect new customers through cold calling and market research.
• Maintain a disciplined call and visit schedule to manage the assigned territory.
• Prepare, follow up and close quotes, orders and customer requests.
• Negotiate contracts and achieve gross profit targets.
• Build and sustain strong relationships with key accounts, contractors and developers.
• Provide product knowledge and advise customers on applications and requirements.

Required profile

• Grade 12 / Matric qualification.
• Minimum 3 + years of external sales experience, preferably in building materials, hardware or construction.
• Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel within the territory.
• Resilient, persistent and comfortable working in a target‑driven environment.
• Excellent organisational, time‑management and communication skills.
