Experienced Lodge Manager – Luxury Lodge & Game Reserve

About the role

Our client, a family‑owned luxury lodge and game reserve in Namibia, is looking for an experienced Lodge Manager to oversee daily operations of a 5‑star property that accommodates up to 16 guests. The manager will act as the public face of the lodge, ensuring personalised service, financial performance and a memorable African experience for every guest.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all lodge staff in line with company policies and local legislation.
• Maintain strong relationships with partner companies and service providers.
• Coordinate with the finance department for accurate bookkeeping, invoicing and budgeting.
• Plan, organise, implement, monitor, evaluate and report on all operational activities.
• Conduct stock takes, manage inventory and promote the lodge to increase occupancy.
• Ensure high levels of guest satisfaction through proactive service delivery.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by senior management.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of general or lodge management experience in a 5‑star hospitality environment.
• Tertiary qualification in Hospitality or Hotel Management.
• Advanced computer proficiency, particularly with MS Office, email and internet tools.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Proven track record in human‑resource and financial oversight.
• Strong organisational, leadership and strategic thinking abilities.
• Excellent command of English and high personal integrity.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure.
