Depot Manager – Otjiwarongo

About the role

The Depot Manager will be responsible for the efficient, profitable day‑to‑day operation of the Namibia Breweries distribution depot in Otjiwarongo. This role ensures operational excellence across warehousing and distribution, protects stock and assets, and drives high levels of customer service while leading a motivated team.

Key responsibilities

• Control depot costs and expenses in line with approved budgets.
• Optimise asset utilisation through planning, monitoring and maintenance.
• Oversee end‑to‑end warehouse to distribution processes, ensuring compliance with procedures and service standards.
• Implement robust stock control to minimise losses, damages and variances.
• Supervise stock counts, investigate discrepancies and drive corrective actions.
• Manage stock ageing according to company policy.
• Coordinate load planning and execution with transport teams for efficient deliveries.
• Maintain warehouse space to support replenishment and demand fulfilment.
• Ensure accurate information systems and operational reporting.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
• Guarantee compliance with internal governance, health and safety requirements.
• Lead, coach and develop depot employees, fostering performance and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Finance, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in FMCG distribution or sales, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Working knowledge of Namibia’s Liquor Act No 6 of 1998 and its application in depot operations.
• Proven experience in depot, warehouse or distribution management.
• Proficiency in MS Office; SAP experience is an advantage.
• Demonstrated people‑leadership, coaching and performance‑management capability.
• Valid driving licence.
