Data Analytics - Senior Associate

About the role

PwC is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Data Analytics team in Windhoek. You will work within the audit and assurance practice, focusing on evaluating IT systems, controls, and data-driven insights for a range of clients.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the design and effectiveness of client IT environments and controls.
• Interpret and analyse large data sets to generate actionable recommendations.
• Apply critical thinking to break down complex concepts and support audit engagements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑quality, compliant deliverables.
• Maintain professional and technical standards, including adherence to PwC’s code of conduct and independence requirements.

Required profile

• Namibian citizenship (mandatory).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Data Engineering, Mathematics, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• 2‑3 years of relevant experience, preferably in a similar data‑analytics or IT‑audit role.
• Strong analytical mindset, self‑awareness, and ability to work in ambiguous situations.

Required skills

• Experience with Hadoop and NoSQL technologies.
• Familiarity with Big Data platforms.
• Knowledge of machine‑learning algorithms such as k‑nearest neighbours, random forests, ensemble methods and deep neural networks.
