Customer Service Desk Agent – Windhoek

About the role

The Customer Service Desk Agent reports to the Business Development Manager at Brakwater and serves as the first point of contact for customers. The role involves handling inquiries, quotations, collections and coordinating with internal departments and clearing agents.

Key responsibilities

• Provide prompt and effective customer service as the first point of contact.
• Answer and direct calls and queries to the appropriate department or staff.
• Communicate with customers via phone or email regarding deliveries, delays, collections, etc.
• Assist clients with quotations when required.
• Follow up on national and international collections and liaise with customers and departmental heads.
• Assist walk‑in customers and compile daily pick‑up and delivery reports for the CSD Coordinator.
• Coordinate with clearing agents regarding outstanding documents.
• Perform any other duties aligned with the responsibilities of a Customer Service Agent.

Required profile

• Valid Grade 12 certificate with at least 23 points.
• 2–3 years of experience in a customer service role.
• Knowledge of border clearances and documentation requirements for imports and exports.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong problem‑solving, verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational abilities and ability to multitask.
• Namibian citizenship and a recent police clearance (no older than 3 months).
• Professional and confident attitude with good interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Familiarity with Asycuda World (advantageous).
