Customer Service Agent (German‑Speaking, Remote from Namibia)

About the role

We are looking for a German‑speaking Customer Service Agent to join our global engineering and technology company on a 6‑month digital‑nomad assignment based in Namibia. You will be the main point of contact for our international customers, ensuring smooth order processing, handling inquiries and supporting logistics and procurement teams.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, review and process new orders from customer purchase orders.
• Create order confirmations and release shipments according to stock availability.
• Manage product returns and issue credit notes.
• Follow up on overdue or duplicate payments.
• Respond to customer inquiries about pricing, lead times and tracking numbers.
• Handle inbound phone calls in English and German.
• Maintain customer master data in the ERP system.
• Support procurement with demand planning and logistics with inbound/outbound deliveries.
• Coordinate internal stock transfers across multiple warehouses.

Required profile

• Commercial degree or equivalent qualification.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in customer service or logistics.
• Proactive, precise and service‑oriented work style.
• Strong organizational talent, excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• High degree of independence and commitment.
• Fluent German and English (C2 level, CEFR).

Required skills

• Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience with an ERP system, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365.
