Commercial Credit and Collection Head

About the role

We are seeking a visionary and commercially astute Credit Head to lead and transform credit risk management across multiple markets. This strategic leadership role safeguards portfolio quality, strengthens credit governance, and enables sustainable business growth through sound risk decision‑making. As a key member of the leadership team you will translate group credit strategy into market‑relevant frameworks and influence critical business decisions across diverse jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead country credit strategy, governance, and risk oversight.
• Optimise portfolio performance while balancing risk and growth objectives.
• Drive credit policy harmonisation and regulatory compliance across markets.
• Influence business, product, and market expansion decisions through expert risk insight.
• Develop future‑fit credit capabilities, technology adoption, and operational excellence.
• Build and mentor high‑performing credit leadership teams across the country.

Required profile

• Seasoned credit executive with extensive experience in banking or financial services and proven success managing large, complex credit portfolios.
• Strong track record of leading diverse teams across multiple markets.
• Exceptional strategic thinking, stakeholder influence, regulatory acumen, and leadership capability.
• Honours degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Risk Management, Banking, or a related field.
• Postgraduate qualification (MBA, Master’s) preferred.
• Professional credit or risk certifications advantageous (e.g., Chartered Banker, FRM, CFA).
• Strong understanding of credit risk modelling, portfolio management, and regulatory frameworks.
• 8–10 years in Credit Risk, Corporate Banking, Commercial Banking, or Risk Management in a similar environment.
