Cloud Engineer

About the role

The Cloud Engineer will provide technical expertise in implementing, administering, and supporting cloud platforms, automation, and operational monitoring solutions. The role ensures cloud services are available, performant, and secure while supporting customer environments through proactive monitoring and incident resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Implement, configure, and support cloud infrastructure and platform services, primarily Azure and Microsoft 365.
• Monitor cloud environments, respond to incidents, and maintain service availability and performance.
• Deploy and maintain automation, monitoring, and operational management solutions.
• Support cloud migrations, upgrades, and system enhancements.
• Investigate and resolve technical incidents in line with agreed SLAs.
• Maintain technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with technical teams to deliver customer projects and managed services.
• Ensure compliance with security, governance, and company standards while driving continuous improvement.

Required profile

• At least a three‑year qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field (NQF 6).
• Minimum five years of experience in cloud infrastructure, systems administration, or cloud operations.
• Experience supporting Azure, Microsoft 365, virtualization, and monitoring solutions.
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator or Administrator Expert, and Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ‑900).
• Demonstrated ability to deliver results, meet customer expectations, and work effectively with others.
