Client Relationship Manager – Corporate Consulting

About the role

The Corporate Consultant will manage and grow a portfolio of Orion Direct Sub‑Fund clients, providing strategic consulting, governance support and relationship management. Acting as a trusted advisor to employers and retirement funds, you will guide clients on retirement fund governance, the Financial Institutions and Markets Act (FIMA), the National Pension Fund framework and employee financial wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Build, manage and expand a portfolio of corporate retirement fund clients through proactive, value‑added consulting.
• Provide strategic advice on retirement fund governance, employee benefits and best practices within the Namibian retirement fund industry.
• Lead Trustee, Management Committee and client governance meetings, strengthening long‑term stakeholder relationships.
• Advise on FIMA, the National Pension Fund framework and other relevant legislation.
• Deliver member education, financial wellness and retirement planning presentations.
• Identify business development opportunities and support client retention initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure exceptional client service and seamless solution implementation.
• Drive innovation, continuous improvement and operational excellence while mentoring colleagues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Management, Law, Human Resources, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum five years’ experience in retirement funds, employee benefits, financial services or corporate consulting.
• Strong knowledge of the Namibian retirement fund industry, FIMA and the National Pension Fund framework.
• Excellent consulting, relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Commercial acumen with ability to identify opportunities and deliver value‑added solutions.
• Proactive, result‑driven with strong leadership, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Fluent English; proficiency in a Namibian language is an advantage.
• Valid Namibian driver’s licence and willingness to travel as required.
