Account Specialist

About the role

The Account Specialist will analyse service performance, cost data and sales trends to provide insight into customer requirements and identify joint efficiency opportunities. Working closely with customers and internal teams, the role aims to improve profitability for both the client and Vector.

Key responsibilities

• Interact with customer (Principal) departments to resolve day‑to‑day operational queries.
• Coordinate with Vector Operations, Supply Chain, Finance and Administration to manage service levels.
• Analyse and report on SLA performance, over‑stocking, sales trends and SKU performance.
• Monitor product take‑ons and exits, ensuring formal sign‑off and updating the sales calendar.
• Collaborate with Planning to prevent out‑of‑stock situations and manage risky expiry stocks.
• Conduct regular competitive market research and provide tactical input on projects such as vehicle turnaround times.
• Identify and propose efficiency‑creation projects to enhance customer and Vector profitability.
• Prepare and update business review templates and present service level analysis for upcoming sales periods.
