German Language Specialist – AI Trainer

About the role

We are seeking a German language specialist to help improve large‑scale AI language models. You will work remotely, interacting with the model on a variety of linguistic tasks and providing detailed feedback to enhance its performance.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with the AI model on German grammar, syntax, morphology, phonology, semantics, and pragmatics.
• Identify and document model failures in areas such as verb conjugation, case usage, word order, declensions, gender, and stylistic variation.
• Verify factual accuracy and logical soundness of model outputs.
• Provide reproducible error traces and suggest improvements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics.

Required profile

• Master’s or PhD in German language, linguistics, or a closely related field.
• Evidence of scholarly work such as peer‑reviewed publications, teaching experience, or linguistic analysis projects.
• Strong metacognitive communication skills, able to “show your work” clearly.

• Hourly rate between $23.00 and $34.33, determined by experience, expertise, and location.
