Field Services Specialist Intern 2026 – Namibia

About the role

Baker Hughes is offering a 2026 Field Services Specialist Internship in Namibia. The program provides hands‑on experience in oilfield equipment servicing, mechanical maintenance and exposure to industry‑leading technology within a global energy company.

Key responsibilities

• Complete internal projects that deliver customer outcomes and identify business improvements.
• Learn and use internal software tools to support project execution.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and fellow interns, interacting with global business leaders.
• Apply Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) standards and procedures in all activities.
• Gain practical experience in oilfield equipment servicing, mechanical maintenance, and technical reporting.
• Develop a solid understanding of safety standards and quality assurance in the oil & gas sector.

Required profile

• Graduated with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering within the last 2 years.
• GPA ≥ 3.0 / 5.0 (or equivalent).
• Fluent in oral and written English.
• Legally able to work in Namibia without sponsorship.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics and industrial machinery.
• Proactive, innovative, creative mindset and willingness to work in challenging field environments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Ability to use CAD design tools such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks (advantage).
