About the role
NamPower is looking for an Engineering Technician to join its Transmission business unit. The role involves installing and maintaining power line carrier (PLC) systems and HF/VHF/UHF radio equipment across substations and radio towers.
Key responsibilities
- Install new PLC systems in substations and replace existing ones.
- Install and replace mobile and fixed radios.
- Perform routine maintenance on PLC systems, radios and aircraft warning lights on radio towers.
Required profile
- Diploma or certificate in Electronic Engineering (NQF level 6).
- Valid Code B driving licence.
- Minimum of one year relevant experience.
Required skills
- Time‑management and planning abilities.
- Team‑oriented interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with relevant SAP modules.
- Basic first‑aid knowledge.
