Trainee Financial Advisor

About the role

Momentum Metropolitan Namibia is looking for a Trainee Financial Advisor to attract, acquire and retain clients by selling the company’s financial products. The role focuses on generating new business, providing after‑sales service, and supporting the long‑term viability of the business.

Key responsibilities

• Engage prospective clients, highlight product features and benefits based on their financial wellness needs.
• Conduct affordability analyses and advise on tax and legal implications of products.
• Accurately capture client information and complete all administrative and reporting requirements within agreed timeframes.
• Achieve set targets for production, quality and conversion while adhering to compliance and legislative requirements.
• Provide financial advice aligned with the engagement strategy to enhance client financial wellness.
• Investigate client queries, provide timely feedback, and escalate issues to relevant departments when necessary.
• Prepare regular reports on client interactions and sales performance.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in a financial advice rendering role (essential).
• 13 years experience in the financial services industry (desirable).
• Bachelor’s degree in Financial Planning, Business, Finance, Economics or equivalent.
• Certificate of proficiency in Insurance or equivalent qualification.
• Relevant legislative/regulatory exams, specific licensing or registration, and Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or equivalent registration.
• Strong communication, planning and influencing abilities.
• Good knowledge of the financial services industry and relevant legislation.
