Technical Lead – CMAM Avance

About the role

The International Rescue Committee is seeking a senior Technical Lead for its CMAM Avance project. This remote position provides strategic, evidence‑based technical leadership across multiple country programmes, ensuring high‑quality implementation, rigorous learning, and cost‑effectiveness in community‑based management of acute malnutrition.

Key responsibilities

• Provide senior technical oversight for CMAM Avance activities in Chad, DRC, Niger and potential new contexts.
• Collaborate with country teams, Ministries of Health, MEAL specialists, finance, research and HQ nutrition colleagues to ensure coherent, data‑driven implementation.
• Lead quality assurance processes, monitor cost‑effectiveness, and drive learning loops across sites.
• Support regional learning, cross‑country reflection and scaling‑up of simplified CMAM approaches.
• Facilitate capacity strengthening for local partners and ensure alignment with IRC’s broader nutrition strategy.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in nutrition programming, specifically community‑based management of acute malnutrition.
• Proven senior technical leadership in humanitarian or development settings.
• Strong ability to work remotely with diverse, multi‑country teams.
• Excellent collaboration skills with ministries, NGOs and internal stakeholders.
• Legal right to work in the candidate’s country of residence.
