Reservationist – Hotel Reservations Agent

About the role

The Reservations Agent will handle all booking enquiries and reservations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and exceptional service. The role supports maximising room revenue, guest satisfaction and coordination with operational departments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and process reservation requests accurately and within required timelines.
• Drive upselling opportunities and maximise room revenue in line with targets.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of hotel rates, packages, availability and selling strategies.
• Capture, confirm and follow up bookings according to SOPs.
• Monitor upcoming arrivals and reconfirm bookings to ensure guest readiness.
• Provide professional and friendly service when handling guest enquiries.
• Maintain accurate reservation records and prevent booking discrepancies.
• Apply hotel policies related to cancellations, no‑shows and payments.
• Liaise with Front Office, Sales and other departments to support smooth operations.
• Stay informed about hotel facilities, promotions and local events to enhance guest experience.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Reservations or Front Office within a hospitality environment.
• Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills focused on guest service excellence.
• Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Good organisational and time‑management skills.
• Basic understanding of revenue management principles and upselling techniques.
• Professional attitude with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Hotel Property Management System (PMS).
• Experience using Revenue Management System (RMS).
• Knowledge of hotel distribution channels.
